I have successfully installed gazebo-0.7 from source on Ubuntu 7.10 gutsy gibbon. I am not sure exactly which Ubuntu packages were required but I can tell you that all dependencies were from repositories except ode. The third party repositories I am using are: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/cschieli/ubuntu gutsy restricted multiverse deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb gutsy 3v1n0 deb-src http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb gutsy 3v1n0 I am not running ode 0.5 I am running ode 0.9 which was installed from source. The error you are reporting is ODE related so this may be your problem. > It's very strange because I installed gazebo 0.7 , and the first line to > run the world is "** Gazebo 0.5.0** Please also note that although I have downloaded gazebo-0.7.0 when I compile and run my version says: ** Gazebo 0.9.0 ** I would try to re-download gazebo-0.7.0 and also install ode 0.9 from source. Hope this helps. Sawyer On Tuesday 27 November 2007 3:22:41 am Victor HBM wrote: > Hi, > > > I am trying to install gazebo in ubuntu gutsy.
