I'dont know where is the problem seems to be a buffer error

Normally you do something like this:

$ player mycfg.cfg

Instead you do this:

$ gdb player
(gdb) run mycfg.cfg

If you get a segmentation fault, you'll get the (gdb) prompt back, at
which point you can get a backtrace:

(gdb) backtrace

Cut and paste the resulting output (don't retype it!) into an email
response to the list.
