There is a config option in the laser itself to output inverted data, you will need to use Sicks CDS software to set it.

Looks like the sicks3000 driver doesn't support the invert option.
The sicklms200 driver does support it; you could port it from there.
If you do; please send a patch for the sicks3000 driver.
