I am looking at various simulators for my MS-Thesis, one of them is Gazebo.
My objective is to create animal-like creature and observe its growth and how it learns different basic functions of life, like walking, avoiding obstacles using various algorithms (Genetic, Reinforcement Learning and Memetic Learning).
I have been reading the manuals and have come to conclusion that Gazebo has very limited robot structures with an option to add more, as suggested in Docs. 7.1. But since the base objects are mostly rectangles and circles, will it be feasible to modify one of the existing model?
