A few days ago I exported a poly sphere and a cube from Maya using LiquidMaya for Pixie, and rendered the exported RIB file using Pixie 1.7.6. It looks like all the vertices are not correctly rendered in the image.
Today I rendered the same RIB file using Pixie 1.7.4 without such a problem. Please refer to the two rendered images in the URLs below.
Can anyone advise on this or tell me what is the possible cause of this problem?
Sorry, I notice I was using a different lightsource in the 2nd image.
The correct image with the same lightsource is in the following URL:
So the bug is in the lightsource shader?
I will look into this. It doesn't appear to be occuring in the current sourcebase (which is much newer and heavily modified from 1.7.6).
Can you confirm which geometry you're using - is it nurbs patches or polygons for the cube, and is the sphere a nurbs sphere or a Sphere ri call.
If you could post the rib somewhere, that would be helpful
No, I mean I used a different lightsource to render the RIB file when using Pixie 1.7.4.
So I re-rendered it using the same lightsource as the one used in rendering with Pixie 1.7.6.
Anyway, the result images are as follows:
rendered with Pixie 1.7.6
rendered with Pixie 1.7.4
The sphere and cube are both polygon objects created in Maya.
The RIB file is here:
