I'm trying to bake a lightmap for a scene in a level editor. I've converted the geometry/lights to pixie and already got an unwrap ready. Now the final step is to actually bake the lightmap. I'm not sure how i should do this. Is bake3d as explained in the wiki on http://renderpixie.com/pixiewiki/Tutorials/BakeToTexture THE way to bake textures? It looks like bake3d function casts rays from the camera, which means there could be a lot of rays on a small triangle close to the camera and a lot less on a bigger triangle far away from the camera? Please correct me if i'm wrong but this would cause a very variable texture detail.!? If this is right, is there an other way to bake textures?
