Hi, I am playing around with the Pixie code and meet a few problems when I was trying to change some data structures.
May I know what is the max value of the following variables:
xSampleOffset holds the number of extra samples outside a pixel that can contribute to that pixel if the pixel filter size is greater than 1. If the pixel filter width is less than 1, this value is 0
pixelXsamples is the number of horizontal samples to take per pixel. This is given by the PixelSamples command. A pixel takes pixelXsamples*pixelYSamples samples
bucketWidth holds the width of a bucket in pixes
numVertexSamples is the number of channels a vertex carries. If you're rendering an rgb image, this variable is 3. If you have other output variables, this variable can get bigger
CRasterGrid.numVertices is the number of vertices in a reyes grid. This value is less than or equal to the madGridSize option. If you have a 4x7 grid, this variable is 28.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for the speedy response, Okan.
Do you mean these variables can grow as large as they can without a limit in the program itself?
Are they related to any command of Pixie or determined by the input RIB files?
In general, no there are no limits except the natural ones. For example the width of a bucket can not exceed the horizontal resolution of the final image etc.
Most of these variables are under direct user control. For example x/y Pixel Samples are set by the user using RiPixelSamples command.
