Pixcon 5.01 SDK release

- fixed texture leak in Gamegine's texture manager
- fixed incomplete setup of recycled OpenGL textures
- fixed mislabeled assets from the library stacks archiving system
- fixed a viewport bug in generating shadowmaps
- fixed a bug in the spline/quaternion keyframing update calculations
- fixed shadowmap & render target recycling in reseting asset managers
- improved pattern recognition filter in the idscram utility
- centralized Gamegine debug screens
- speedup of img2rtf utility & associated image libs

- support for "asset library files" for the storage/retrieval of data assets
- OpenGL 2.0 support for multi-textures & fbo's
- render to texture manager for fbo's & pbuffers
- shadowmap support
- "improved perlin noise" primative for software pixel shaders
- support for multiple joystick, keyboard, mice
- embeded data assets to remove dependencies on external data
- added EOA shadowmap tech demo
- deprecated: vectorfonts, WIN2k support, window re-parenting

Pixcon 4.0 Release

Its been a couple years since the last release, but better late than never.

Pixcon is a software development suite designed to promote the rapid development software - particularly games, high end renderings, and 2D/3D visualization for multiple platforms. Software includes a set of libraries, utilities, documentation, examples.

Changes in 4.00:
- Upgraded the VC support files to Visual Studio 2005
- OpenGL support for Nvidia 6k-8k chipsets/drivers
- support for OpenGL vertex arrays & vbos
- embedded mipmap functionality to the .rtf texture format
- consolidate texture baking utilities
- deprecated old 3DSMAX plugins
- "The Darkest Hour" split into its own distribution

Pixcon 3.00 has been released!!!

Pixcon is a software development suite designed to promote the rapid development software - particularly games, high end renderings, and 2D/3D visualization for multiple platforms. Software includes a set of libraries, utilities, documentation, examples.

New features in 3.00:
- more utilization of OpenGL/GPU matrix hardware
- autogenerated OpenGL mipmap support
- OpenGL offscreen rendering class
- added OpenGL support for paletted textures
- upgraded TIFF & JPEG libraries
- conversion support for MetaVR's 3D format
- more user-friendly initialization sequence
- more API documentation

Its alive...

Hey all,
After a 2 year hiatus, I've dusted Pixcon off and started version 3.0, and am moving it to Sourceforge!!! I'll be adding content as I figure this system out. Hopefully this project will be fully functional by August. Stay tuned...
