There was someone called "nor" in my channel some long
time ago. Now, pisg continues to count every "nor" as
reference to that nick, even though the one was never
seen again. "nor" is not set as user, nor as alias for
any user.

My suggestion is to not count nicks anymore, if there
is no sign of it for some (adjustable) time. That is,
no nick change, no message, no action, no join, no
nothing, and it is not linked to some other nick, which
still is "active".

    I resolved similar kind of situation by removing lines that
    begins with "<nick>" from my logs.

    Removing/renaming nicks in the log file is a possible way
    to get rid of those artifacts, but that alters
    "documented/recorded history". Best is to keep the log
    files as they were recorded, but add some option to not
    display inactive people anymore...
