    Hi,

    Trying to test a simple connection through Jdbc to PIP, with
    the following lines:

      try {
          Class.forName ("sanchez.jdbc.driver.ScDriver");

          String url = "protocol=jdbc:sanchez/database=localhost:61012:SCA$IBS";
          System.out.println("avant connection");
          Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection (url, "admin", "pass");
          System.out.println("connection OK");
      catch ...

    I call my class with "java -cp .:./ScJDBC.jar TestConnToPIP", on the
    server itself where PIP is running, and get the following error msg:

    *** SQLException caught ***

    SQLState: null
    Message: ER_SV_INVLDUID|#101018800205001 <SV_INVLDUID> Error not defined
    Vendor: 0

    It's not login/password-related is it ? What are the logins/pwd available
    (in which global should I take a look to see them) ?
    What does SV_INVLDUID mean ?

    Thanks a lot in advance...
    Regards,
    Sébastien

      First, look at http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1993315&forum_id=63826 - you need to set the userid and password to not expire (this was a glitch in the PIP distribution).  Also, use user e0101001 and password xxxx as noted in the index.html in the distribution.

      I had set SCAU 7th value to 99999 already, a long time ago,
      and it fails with the same error "ER_SV_INVLDUID..." with
      user e0101001/xxxx also (I tried admin/pass, 46019/xxx too).

      No idea or track to give me to follow ?

      Thanks.
      Seb

    • The user ID and password that you supply in the JDBC call should be the same as the user ID and password that you use from Eclipse (1/xxx unless you changed that).

      Did you try that combination as well?

      Thanks,
      Frans

      Nope, hadn't tried it before (1/xxx) but... NOW IT WORKS
      with this combination ! Thanks a lot Frans - you saved me
      here.

      Could you please tell me *where* these logins/pwds are
      stored (in a global somewhere I guess) ?, and how to
      manage them (if I want to modify a password, or add a
      login...) ?

      Once again thanks a lot...
      Seb

      Is this "xxx" string stored here encrypted as the 39th value piece of ^SCAU(1,1) ?:
      GTM>w $p(^SCAU(1,1),"|",39)
