You are using the mingw make instead of cygwin's make.
`which make` should verify this. You need to rename/delete the mingw make
so that cygwin's make gets used.

Subject: [Gaim-devel] [REQ] Autosplit error compiling 0.82.1 on Win
Hi everyone! Sorry to bother, I'm not sure that this is a Gaim-related
issue, but I couldn't find help elsewhere :( Here's what I get after a
while when executing
make -f Makefile.mingw
/cygdrive/c/perl/bin/perl -MAutoSplit -e 'autosplit("lib/Gaim.pm")'
process_begin: CreateProcess((null), /cygdrive/c/perl/bin/perl
-MAutoSplit -e autosplit(\"lib/Gaim.pm\"), ...) failed.
make (e=3): The system cannot find the path specified.
make.exe: *** [lib/auto/Gaim/autosplit.ix] Error 3
I'm using ActivePerl from C:/perl as stated on Gaim homepage..
Anyone got ideas? Many thanks in advance..

Ouch! I mis-read the instructions.. ^^;;; I'm sorry.
