I thought I'd pass this complement on to gaim-devel, for the benefit
of the CPW who really make so much of gaim possible.

Subject: Hot damn
GAIM dev folks,
Just wanted to let y'all know what a bang-up job you're doing.
The version of GAIM that ships with Ubuntu Hoary didn't play nicely with
MSN through a firewall, so on a whim I decided to try to build the
latest version from source.
Usually that path is fraught with all kinds of unforeseen dependencies
and peril, but -- hot damn -- it compiled and installed flawlessly, and
connected to MSN as pretty as you please.
An app as complicated as GAIM that compiles and installs like that
without special packaging is a rare beast.
You folks are doing an amazing job. Keep up the good work.
