I'm not sure if this is something that is "fixable" or even a bug but a
ran into a little problem with gaim recently that might be of interest.
I had copied a plugin .so file in my /usr/local/lib/gaim folder and when
I upgraded gaim, it SIGSEGV'd. Probably because the plugin was no longer
compatible with some newer code. In any case I was wondering if gaim
shouldn't try to catch on to such errors when registering its plugins so
that it doesn't try to load an outdated plugin that doesn't work?
