I was playing a bit with gaim's status messages - the current limit is set
to 48 characters, and I think this can be relaxed. A bit of testing showed
that 256 is the actual limit used by the current Yahoo! protocol - but my
tests might not be accurate. Anyway, the patch is inserted below (I preferred
to write a safe value of 250 rather than 256).
