I'm fairly new to gaim, but wanted to get things going from scratch to take
advantage of the new groupwise plugin that just came through.
So I finally got gaim working with SSL... kinda.
After some greif dealing with NSS (and eventually having to disable it), I got
GNUtls to compile correctly and give me decent results from ldd (as indicated
But now, when I try to connect to MSN or Groupwise, I get the following errors
(after configuring with --enable-debug):
(21:54:10) dns: Successfully sent DNS request to child 3154
(21:54:10) dns: Host 'nexus.passport.com' resolved
(21:54:10) proxy: Connecting to nexus.passport.com:443 with no proxy
(21:54:10) proxy: Connect would have blocked.
(21:54:10) proxy: Connected.
(21:54:10) gnutls: Handshaking
operation is not possible without initialized secure memory
(you may have used the wrong program for this task)
Here's my output from ldd:
killroyboy:~ # ldd /usr/local/lib/gaim/ssl-gnutls.so
libgnutls.so.8 => /usr/local/lib/libgnutls.so.8 (0x4001c000)
libgcrypt.so.1 => /usr/lib/libgcrypt.so.1 (0x40070000)
libnsl.so.1 => /lib/libnsl.so.1 (0x400ae000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/i686/libc.so.6 (0x400c4000)
libtasn1.so.2 => /usr/local/lib/libtasn1.so.2 (0x401f7000)
libgcrypt.so.7 => /usr/local/lib/libgcrypt.so.7 (0x40207000)
libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0x40253000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x80000000)
libgpg-error.so.0 => /usr/local/lib/libgpg-error.so.0 (0x40262000)
What other debug info would be helpful to track down this problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.
