I really like the "%s has sent you a notification." (where %s is the
username) It fits with the idea of Gaim abstracting the different
protocols. If this is accepted, I believe yahoo.c should be changed
(there are two occurrences of it) so that it's not "Buzz!!", but "%s has
sent you a notification."
I think the command should be something generic like /notify. Then,
yahoo could have a synonym for that command of /buzz and MSN could
have /nudge as a synonym. Again, this is to make things more consistent.
I haven't tested this patch (or the Yahoo buzz support) so I'm not sure
how this works, but I would suggest that neither should open a new
conversation window. If one exists, fine, print the message, but if I
close the window, I don't want a new one popping up because the other
person decided to notify me.
If the developers so desire, I can implement my suggestions.
