Thus spake JLB: > I'm starting to think I'm the only one in the geek world who knows the > meaning of 'moderation'. Perhaps you should instead realize that a little preventative maintenance goes a long way. I've been using unstable on 4 machines for 3 years now, and I have an extremely minimal number of issues. One does NOT have to upgrade daily. Checking bug reports before upgrading, or at the least, checking with apt in #debian pretty much ensures that you won't upgrade to a fundamentally broken version of a package. You seem to put a lot of blame on the Debian developers - the *volunteer* Debian developers, I might add. --=20 Nathan Poznick <po...@co...> Don't think of retiring from the world until the world will be sorry that you retire. I hate a fellow whom pride or cowardice or laziness drive into a corner, and who does nothing when he is there but sit and growl. Let him come out as I do, and bark. - Samuel Johnson |
