gaim-encryption: find key by name: 63330655
gaim-encryption: find key by name: 63330655

this bug was filed by me. I did further testing:
because i was upgrading from gaim 0.75 i backed up my
.gaimrc and .gaim/ because i thought the missing files could
be created at first startup. but i was wrong, the error is
still the same. :( even "encrypt.prefs" was not created. is
there any documentation that i'm missing?

i use debian unstable some of the relevant packages are:

ii libnss-db 2.2-6.2 DB Name Service Module
ii libnss-dev 1.6-4 Network Security Service
    Libraries - develop
ii libnss3 1.6-4 Network Security Service
    Libraries - runtime
ii libssl-dev 0.9.7d-1 SSL development libraries,
    header files and
ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7d-1 SSL shared libraries
    ii libwww-ssl0 5.4.0-9 The W3C-WWW library (SSL
    support)
ii openssl 0.9.7d-1 Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
    binary and related

as you can see from above i used -prefix=/home/xxx/local is
    that a problem?

    greets,
    jonek

The errors opening the id/id.priv/encrypt.prefs files are
    normal for a first-time use.

The "NSS Error: -8128" probably indicates that the NSS
libraries were not initialized, which probably means that
Gaim was compiled without support for NSS. Because it is an
error to initialize those NSS more than once, and because
the MSN protocol plugin (and Jabber too?) will init NSS, the
Gaim-Encryption plugin uses Gaim to initialize NSS.

Check your config.log for the Gaim install, and see the Gaim
    page http://gaim.sourceforge.net/faq-ssl.php for some help
    getting NSS support compiled in.
