Hello!

I use the flat file database on SuSE Linux 10.0, PhpWiki
1.3.11p1, PHP 4.4 and Apache 2. If I click on
"RecentChanges", I'll get these notices:

  • lib/CachedMarkup.php (In template 'browse' < 'body' <
    'html'):499: Notice: Only variables should be assigned by
    reference

  • lib/WikiDB/backend/dumb/MostRecentIter.php (In
    template 'body' < 'html'):26: Notice: Only variables should
    be assigned by reference

The second notice repeats very often. Does anyone know
how to fix it? I found these warnings (or similar) on many
websites with PhpWiki but no solution.

Greetings, Karsten Ott

    Just add a line

    error_reporting (E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE);

    in the beginning of

    main.php: class WikiRequest::WikiRequest ()

    function body. This is quick and dirty but turned off all
    annoying notices while keeping some interesting ones working
    for me.
