Hi,
I just struck this problem whilst adding screenshots
to a tutorial on a wiki I had set up.

I'm wanting an image, with the URL:
http://www.longlandclan.hopto.org/~stuartl/atomic/radeon-dri/dri-support.png
to appear inline -- so I simply put that URL in square
brackets.

However, looking at
http://atomicdoc.hopto.org/index.php/Radeon%20DRI%20Linux%20Mini-HowTo
-- for some reason, PHPWiki is stripping out the ~ in
the URL, causing an error 404.

Whilst yes, I could move the images elsewhere, so
that they are visible, some people don't have that
luxury, and hence, this is a bug that needs to be
addressed.

I'm using PHPWiki 1.3 (not sure the exact version) on
Gentoo Linux 1.4 with MySQL as the backend DB.

Fixed, as suggested in the other bug report, replacing ~
with %7E fixed the problem. However, this is still a pain
having to remember %7E = ~, so it would be nice if this
    issue could be addressed soon.

The tilde issue has been fixed in cvs

Hence why your phpwiki version is VERY important.

    Hi,
Just did a CVS checkout of PHPWiki. Previously, I was
using 1.3.7, I'm now using the latest CVS version.

    http://atomicdoc.hopto.org/index.php/SandBox <-- It
appears the bug still exists :-|

    Thanks,
    Stuart Longland

I'm getting this behaviour as well. phpWiki 1.3 (not from CVS) on
    MacOSX with MySQL back end.
