I have to agree with Nathan on this one. Plus, it seems to me that most people around the weblog community donot understand DBs: the structure of the db is a reflection of the 'business logic' of the system. I.e. it's completely related to its features. A standardized schema would mean that when any codebase decided to implement a new feature --or even slightly modify an existing one-- that required a schema change, you'd be SOL.
