Initial Comment:
If you click on a database icon on the left after
upgrading to postgres 8 beta 5, you get the following
error:

ERROR:  column pn.nsptablespace does not exist

In statement:

SELECT pn.nspname, pu.usename AS nspowner,
pg_catalog.obj_description(pn.oid, 'pg_namespace') AS
nspcomment,
                                                                (SELECT
spcname FROM pg_catalog.pg_tablespace pt WHERE
pt.oid=pn.nsptablespace) AS tablespace
                        FROM pg_catalog.pg_namespace
pn, pg_catalog.pg_user pu
                        WHERE pn.nspowner = pu.usesysid
                        AND nspname NOT LIKE 'pg\_%'
AND nspname != 'information_schema' ORDER BY nspname


A quick fix is to cut and paste the getSchemas()
function from
classes/database/Postgres74.php to
classes/database/Postgres80.php,
though this will lack the 'tablespace' column in the
schema display.

Notes from Chris for anyone wanting to fix this.  
(22:13:52) KL: you'll need to remove all the support for 
tablespaces on schemas tho 
(22:13:58) KL: ie. on create and alter schema screens 
(22:14:10) KL: then fix the queries for showingthe list of schemas 
(22:14:16) KL: and remove the tablespace col from that list
