Bugs item #679358, was opened at 2003-02-03 03:06 You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=418980&aid=679358&group_id=37132 Category: Install Group: 2.4.2 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Works For Me Priority: 5 Submitted By: Georgi Hristov (tweaky_81) Assigned to: Robert Treat (xzilla) Summary: Unable to install properly Initial Comment: I have been trying to install phpPgAdmin but I have been having the same problem all day long. The error message I get is the following: Configuration Error: You must rename/copy config.inc.php-dist to config.inc.php and set your appropriate settings I did edit the config.inc.php and it does exist in the /usr/local/www/data/phpPgAdmin directory. Here is the part I edit: // The $cfgServers array starts with $cfgServers[1]. Do not use $cfgServers[0]. // You can disable a server config entry by setting host to ''. $cfgServers[1]['local'] = true; $cfgServers[1]['host'] = 'localhost'; $cfgServers[1]['port'] = '5432'; $cfgServers[1]['adv_auth'] = true; Everything looks normal and should be ok. However it does not work. I am getting the same error all day long no matter what I do. I am running FreeBSD 4.7 STABLE with Apache 2.0.43. I have PHP installed with following options: ./configure' '--with-apxs2=/usr/local/sbin/apxs' '--with- tsrm-pth' '--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/etc' '--enable- versioning' '--with-regex=system' '--without-gd' '--without- mysql' '--with-gd=/usr/local' '--enable-gd-native-ttf' '--with- freetype-dir=/usr/local' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local' '--with- png-dir=/usr/local' '--with-zlib' '--with-bz2=/usr' '--with- mcrypt=/usr/local' '--with-mhash=/usr/local' '--with- mysql=/usr/local' '--with-pgsql=/usr/local' '--with- ldap=/usr/local' '--with-openssl=/usr' '--with- snmp=/usr/local' '--enable-ucd-snmp-hack' '--with- openssl=/usr' '--enable-ftp' '--with-curl=/usr/local' '-- prefix=/usr/local' 'i386-portbld-freebsd4.7' the above information was obtained from phpinfo() function. What am I doing wrong? Hope somebody can help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Robert Treat (xzilla) Date: 2003-02-28 18:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=204589 Well, hopefully, but if it's a bug in the php/apache2 combo I'm not feeling overly confident (especially if its specific to *bsd or something). Guess I'll add setting up apache2 webserver to me already over full list of things to do.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Georgi Hristov (tweaky_81) Date: 2003-02-27 23:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=609209 xzilla thanks a lot ... this fixed the problem .. thanks a lot again ... I suppose this problem would be fixed in the new 3.0 release. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Robert Treat (xzilla) Date: 2003-02-27 12:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=204589 I wonder if there is a bug with file_exists with apache 2 and php? I'm pretty sure your include path is ok, since you can only get this message index.php can include lib.inc.php. Perhaps you changed the permissions on the file when you modified it? If you want a work around, I think you should be able to replace lines 59-65 (the file_exists code) with a simple include("config.inc.php") and it would work, might be worth a try anyways. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Georgi Hristov (tweaky_81) Date: 2003-02-27 12:05 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=609209 I have been pretty busy lately, and I just gave up on trying to fix the bug. I sure would like to know what's the problem, and how to fix. If someone out there has an idea how to fix this or need some more information, please let me know and I will post it. In addition I have uploaded my httpd.conf file. Thanks in advace. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Robert Treat (xzilla) Date: 2003-02-25 17:34 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=204589 Well, I'm wondering is this was ever resolved. FWIW 2.4.2 and pgsql 7.3 don't work well together, so the whole thing might be moot. I also think this might be an apache2 issue, but thats just a guess. I'll let this one simmer, hopefully the user will follow up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Georgi Hristov (tweaky_81) Date: 2003-02-03 03:09 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=609209 I forgot to mention that I am running postgreSQL 7.3, it is matters. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=418980&aid=679358&group_id=37132 |
