Please follow!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Dan Wilson (killroyboy) Date: 2002-07-24 10:36 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=341906 I can't reproduce this issue... I tried untar'ing a new source file and changing the directory name and it worked as expected. Can someone else try this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mak, Ho Man (amiroot) Date: 2002-07-22 21:03 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=436943 Problem presists... It's very easy to reproduce the problem, just untar the source and <b>CHANGE THE DIRECTORY NAME</b> (for me is pgsql_admin). Did you try this before? $cfgServers[1]['local'] = false; $cfgServers[1]['host'] = 'localhost'; $cfgServers[1]['port'] = '5432'; $cfgServers[1]['adv_auth'] = true; ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Dan Wilson (killroyboy) Date: 2002-07-19 09:25 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=341906 Ah... ok. All you have to do is set your host as localhost. This is a bug in the new authentication code for 2.4.2. It has since been corrected in CVS is you want to grab the latest code, or you can just set your host. Let me know if that fixes your problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mak, Ho Man (amiroot) Date: 2002-07-18 22:12 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=436943 Sorry for late reply. I untar the 2.4.2 to a new directory. It's not update. I did not change any config at all but the super user and set local to true. Also, the directory name has been renamed to pgsql_admin. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Dan Wilson (killroyboy) Date: 2002-07-14 19:29 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=341906 Let me see if I understand you correctly.... You had 2.4.1 installed under a directory called "pgsql_admin". When you upgraded to 2.4.2, it no longer worked. But once you changed the directory name back to phpPgAdmin it worked again? The only issue we have seen with 2.4.2 and login problems can be resolved by adding "localhost" as the host in a local connection (in the past, you didn't need to have localhost set if you were connecting locally). Did you change this setting at all? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mak, Ho Man (amiroot) Date: 2002-07-14 09:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=436943 I use IE6 and cookies is enabled. I don't think the problem is related to cookies since it work for previous version. I just changed the directory name but nothing. It works under 2.4.1 but failed in 2.4.2 with directory name "pgsql_admin". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Dan Wilson (killroyboy) Date: 2002-07-14 09:38 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=341906 For some reason, you were already authenticated. Just changing the name of the directory would not change anything. What browser are you using and have you verified that you have cookies turned on? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mak, Ho Man (amiroot) Date: 2002-07-13 22:51 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=436943 I found the problem is that: when the directory name "phpPgAdmin" prompt me to enter usercode and passwd. However, when I change it to "pgsql_admin", it automatically login for me with the last login without prompt me the usercode and password. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Dan Wilson (killroyboy) Date: 2002-07-12 10:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=341906 I am able to login with a non-superuser. Can you login with the superuser with adv_auth = true? Can you paste in the relevant portion of your config.inc.php. That would help us in determining the problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=418980&aid=580417&group_id=37132 |
