i started the Hebrew translation. Since it is written Right-To-Left, I'll have to patch the HTML / stylesheets codes as well.

  1. I saw there's a variable called $Align, which affects page direction - but Where $Align is initialized?
  2. How do I make RTL page set?
  3. I thought to convert an existing skin into right-to-left. is that the way?
  4. Where do I begin to create new skin / patch the actual system?
  5. Are there instructions for translators? I tried to simply copy the English directory and adjust it to Hebrew, but the system doesn't show hebrew flag on the languages bar (i see the other flags)

thanks!

  • Hi, this is a great news! We'd love to have Hebrew available in phpMyChat.
    To answer your question, you'll have to add this new line on top of your localized.chat.php file:
    $Align = "right";
    Note: Put it bellow the $Fontsize line.
    As far as the flags go, I will attach them here.

    On the other hand, I hope you haven't made too much progress with your translation, as I will send you the new 1.93-RC5 templates tomorrow, along with the latest version kit, so you can install it and test it as you go.
    You'll need to be in touch with me as this is the first RTL translation of the plus version, so there might/should be several misbehaving pages.
    I will send you an update email later on, ok?
    Ciprian M.
