I have been using 2.8.1 WITH NO PROBLEMS!!!
I downloaded 220.127.116.11 and imediately get a;
The mbstring PHP extension was not found and you seem to be using a multibyte charset. Without the mbstring extension phpMyAdmin is unable to split strings correctly and it may result in unexpected results.
I tried it with and without the Language setting - same result;
* Language and charset conversion settings
// Default language to use, if not browser-defined or user-defined
$cfg['DefaultLang'] = 'en-iso-8859-1';
// Default connection collation (used for MySQL >= 4.1)
$cfg['DefaultConnectionCollation'] = 'utf8_unicode_ci';
Since I am running on a GoDaddy virtual host I do NOT have access to download and install mbstring.dll nor anything else!
Why is this comming up now, and how do I get around the problem, which is not a problem with 2.8.1?
