No

A simple checkbox for the user to toggle to have the SQL input remain when query is AJAX submitted, as opposed to hiding.

This setting can be turned on by default in the config.inc.php, or just left as its default off.

I find this useful for when I am running queries over and over with slight changes and get sick of clicking with the mouse just to go back to typing some more.

Your patch is missing config default in libraries/config.default.php. Also please remove extra spaces in translatable message.

  • patch to sql.js and sql_query_form.lib.php to allow sql input to remain on submit. default false in config.default

  • ok I fixed those 2 things.
You may want to change the "Show this query here again" setting right above mine. I mimic'd that one with the spaces in the string.

Merged for the version after 3.5.0-alpha1, thanks. Configuration directive renamed to RetainQueryBox for better consistency. I did further commits:
    - avoid displaying this control in the distinct query window
    - explain in Documentation.html
    - support in setup and user preferences.
