No

I have in my db many tables, I was spending lot of time
to find the table in the left pane, so I changed the
left pane, and now the table are put in a select area
so I can type only one letter on my keyboard and I
found straight away the table whose the name starts
with the key I pressed.
Look at the file, adapted from v2.4.0-rc1

What do others think of that? I generally like to offer flexible
navigation, but I do not know if we should offer yet another
viewmode for the left-frame. In no case this should replace the
    current viewmode...

I suggest the following: Make this viewmode automatically
available if there are more than X (X=maybe 15) tables, and
display it additionally to the tables, but above them.

And I'd say, drop the varios buttons and only provide one 'go'
button, because this clutters up the framespace.

    Opinions?

    Garvin,

do you remeber the patch about the frameless navigation I've
sent along some time ago? I used this code to build it.
I think that if we get this to work properly (there are
currently some bugs inside...) it would make the way
    suggested here, obsolete.

The solution is to use Mozilla :-)
    It does it directly
    (find as you type)

So if Mozilla is the solution. we can reject this, cant we?
