Could you please try current CVS version? This bug could be
    related to #736003.

Opera 6 seems to be somehow broken, it doesn't allow frames
    to be written from javascript.

Workaroud is to use cvs version and specify
    $cfg['QueryFrameJS'] = FALSE;
    in config.

Opera7 doesn't show that behaviour, and I can reproduce this
in Opera6. Please upgrade your browser, it is definitely
bugged. Either it should interpret the JavaScript written
frameset or use the noscript tag. We can do nothing about
    this behaviour.

I will add this to the FAQ.

    Regards,
    Garvin.

So now PMA will not work anymore with non-javascript-able
browsers (for example also the text based lynx/links) ? :/

    NO

PMA work with browsers that know javascript and with
browsers that don't know javascript. It doesn't work with
browsers that claim that support javascript (eg. ignore
noscript tags ), but something (here generating html from
    javascript) is broken.

In addition to what nijel said, note that "something broken"
relates to Opera6, not phpMyAdmin, in this case... :-)
