#763 (in 2.5.1) Create PHP Code / Without PHP code

I use the dutch version so maybe my translations don't
fit the original english.

After executing a sql query, you can choose to create
PHP code for the query. When the php code is showed,
you can choose to see the query without the PHP code.
When pressing that link, PhpMyAdmin tries to execute
the query instead of just viewing it without PHP code.

To me it seems not to be a feature :)

    Hi!

I guess this is by intention. If you wanted to have the SQL-
query without PHP code, you could've pasted it from the page
just BEFORE you clicked on the PHP-code snippet.

I think we should close this bug report. Opinions?

imho, this behavior is not correct. By clicking "without
php" I intentionally wouldn't want the query to be sent again.

A possible solution would be changing the content of the
message box dynamically via JS when clicking the "generate
php code" link.. This would allow us to switch between php
and SQL as often as we want.
For non-JS users, I'd suggest not to display the link
"without php" since those users could still use their
    browser's "back" button.

How about making Create PHP Code only open window only with
    php code?

I agree with nijel, as this is only for a quick cut&paste
    job and would
    not disturb the normal results.

Or better, move this functionnality to the Query window?

So what do we do for this one?

I vote for using a popup all the time, not touching the
Querywindow. I wouldn't know where to put it there, because
it should only be visible when asked for it...

I think this is _NOT_ supposed to happen; you'd expect the
query not to be executed again, regardless whether it
would've been better to copy & paste the query in the screen
    before.

I've now implemented it this way, that now popup is opened,
and the "show as php code / show without php code" never
executes the query. When in "show php code" mode, you see an
additional link "submit query". This way we don't need no
popup, and IMHO it's best to not use popups wherever possible.
