I had some trouble with this too. Try absolute paths instead.

I have the following:

This feedback.php file is in the main directory then I have a folder called phpmailer(contains everything from the download) and in that is the language folder..

I still get the error - Message was not sentMailer Error: Language string failed to load: connect_host

require("phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php");

$mail = new PHPMailer();

$body = "The following details were sent from the feedback form";
$body .= "<BR><BR>";
$body .= "Name: ".$fname." ".$sname."\n\n";
$body .= "<BR>";
$body .= "Email: ".$email;
$body .= "<BR>";
$body .= "Comments: ".$details;
$mail->SetLanguage("en", "phpmailer/language");
$mail->SMTPAuth = true; // turn on SMTP authentication
$mail->Username = "********"; // SMTP username
$mail->Password = "********"; // SMTP password

$mail->IsSMTP(); // telling the class to use SMTP
$mail->IsHTML();
$mail->Host = "auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk"; // SMTP server
$mail->FromName = "Ross";
$mail->From = "ross";
//$mail->AddAddress("info@legalervicestraining.co.uk");
$mail->AddAddress("ross@aztechost.com");
$mail->Subject = $subject;
$mail->Body = $body;
$mail->WordWrap = 50;

 if(!$mail->Send())
{
   echo "Message was not sent";
   echo "Mailer Error: " . $mail->ErrorInfo;
}
else
{
   echo "Message has been sent";
   header("Location: thank_you.php");
}

To get rid of the language string error message, use this:

$mail->SetLanguage("en", "[directory with language files]");

I have used phpmailer before without a problem but now I get this error

Message was not sentMailer Error: Language string failed to load: connect_host

Her is my info, the isp assures me the host is correct. Do I need smtp authentication? If so how do I do it?

$mail->IsSMTP(); // telling the class to use SMTP
$mail->IsHTML();
$mail->Host = "auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk"; // SMTP server
$mail->FromName = "Ross";
$mail->From = "ross";
//$mail->AddAddress("
info@legalervicestraining.co.uk");
$mail->AddAddress("
ross@aztechost.com");
$mail->Subject = $subject;
$mail->Body = $body;

$mail->WordWrap = 50;
