    Hi

Does anyone know how to make PHP mailer work in the background

I attach file of no more than a meg but up to a meg. This could take a while so I want my viewer to continue to the next page while mailing takes place.

Anyone know a quick setting of function to do this

    Thanks

    HI,
    I have the same problem.
I have a script that runs in the background by the function 'exec'.
How to run a script in the browser, emails come.

There are numerous ways you can run PHP scripts in the background, so you could use any of them, but here isn't the place to find out about them. A better way is to not use SMTP, then you won't have to wait - use mail/sendmail instead. If you don't have a local mail server, get one.

I can only use MS Exchange (requirement in work).
General report runs SQL script, which takes about 30 minutes, at the end result of the report is to be sent to the e-mail.
For this, I care that it was in the background.

Sorry for my english, I know him a little bit. :)
