No

due to BUG 875804 List of individuals does not display
and BUG 875864 Bug in Individual list ver. 2.65 final

find a workaround attached
NOTE: it will fix it for most languages - but probably
not for turkish, polish, chinese and other languages
with much special characters....!

@ John: as the expand-command expects the alphabet
string to be " "-separated you probably wanted to
change the language_settings.pgp. I did NOT do so,
because then you should change the
editlang_edit_settings.php as well, to skip the " "
when showing alphabet to user and to reinsert when
savind to language-settings files. As I did not know if
the alphabet is used at other places in the scripts, I
didn't want to change them.
So it's really only a quick workaround not a real
complete patch!

By the way, there is another issue: it's impossible to
get a surname_sublist for show_all=yes.... but I think
that's a RFE again

    Hi John,
    I also attached a test-version which allows
    show_all=yes&surname_sublist=yes
    which hasen't been able before.
It also fixes the bottom link in case that alpha="" which
means in fact that show_all should be "yes".

The test file includes the same workaround for the line
    $sortorder = explode(" ",
    $language_settings[$LANGUAGE]["ALPHABET_upper"]);

which should be replaced, when language_settings.php has the
    final format.

Would be pleased, if you'd accept this versions enhancements.

    minor fix in test-file

still have some strange behaviour for german names like
"v. Test" as they list up below "." instead of "v" and the
    links don't work right.
I think there was similiar problem some time ago.

    Hi Peter,

I downloaded your altern. indilist.php and it seems to work
    well for the Dutch language.
The only thing I noticed that the index (Alphabet) above the
list disappears when you click "ALL".
It does not come back, even with refreshing the page.
Only when you leave the page, you will have the index
(Alphabet) back by returning to the indilist.

Anyway, it's nice to have a sublist when you choose "ALL".

    Greetings,
    Jans

    Hi Peter,

I have to take back my remark about the index (Alphabet).
I was typing faster than thinking again ;-(

It was not there before and there's no need for the index,
since you can choose from the list.

    Bye,
    Jans

    Hello All,

An "official" fix is now available. It has fixed all problems for
both the Individual and Family list. A sublist for ALL has been
added also. The alphabet stays on top also :)

This is available from both CVS and attached file. Have fun.

    Regards,

    Roland

    Hi Roland,
thanks, that's really looking better now!

I still have one little issue which has also been reported at
bug: 878146 Sorting of names / missing names in list

Now after testing your last package I understand that names
like "van Denmark" or "de Hertoghe" should be listed under
D "Denmark" or H for "Hertoghe".

So it's consequential that abbreviated prefixes like "v. Baker"
should also be listed at B: "Baker". But whar happens is,
that an additional "letter" - the dot "." - appears at the
top row alphabet, where all names are listed under, which
    contain a "." like "v. Baker".

So you should filter not only lowercase prefixes but also
the dots "." from the names and every name should be handled
    similarly.

    Thanks
    Peter
