Does anyone know the code well enough to help me to enable CEME as a valid tag? Every Check produces hundreds of errors. I know, the CEME tag probably is not recognized as valid within the GEDCOM standard. I just want to customize it for my site. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm fairly sure that all you need to do is add it to the list of facts
entries in the gedcom_conf.php file in your index folder

The CEME (meaning "cemetery") is already a valid tag in PhpGedView. If you're getting errors, the tag is probably just in the wrong place in your GEDCOM.

The tag should be at level 2, subordinate to a level 1 BURI record. In other words, the structure should be:
    0 INDI
    1 BURI
    2 CEME

There can be other level 2 tags, such as DATE and PLAC.

Your best option is to edit the GEDCOM outside PhpGedView using any suitable text editor, and then re-import the GEDCOM.
