I have a latest SVN test system which was working fine. I periodically backup my prod system and deploy the GEDCOM and media objects to the SVN.

Been happening for maybe a week or so now. I noticed this when the new default image appeared. No thumbnails are appearing in Lists and Charts but stuff appears in the Manage Multimedia function. Most of the media objects are showing up there as "This media object is not linked to any GEDCOM record". use media firewall. Smells like a user error on my part but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Please explain what you mean by "and deploy the GEDCOM and media objects to the SVN"

My guess would be that in the process of "deploy the GEDCOM and media objects to the SVN" you have broken the media_firewall installation. It requires an htaccess file in the stanard/media folder.

    Try this:
Go to GEDCOM config, turn OFF media firewall, save.
Go back again, turn ON media firewall, and save.

Now see if images are back on display. This process re-installs the htaccess file needed.

Actually, a better way to create a missing .htaccess file is to move all media to the standard directory and then back to the firewalled directory.

"This media object is not linked" indicates that you haven't restored all of the database tables that deal with media.
