This is probably a much older bug than 4.3.0 / 6783.

When adding an ASSO tag to a death (to record the informant) I included a comment on the NOTE field displayed ion the edit screen.

That note is saved correctly in the GEDCOM data, but is not displayed on the Individual Facts & Details page.

GEDCOM is:
1 DEAT
2 DATE 08 MAY 1851
2 PLAC Sevenoaks, Kent, England
2 SOUR @S68@
3 PAGE Vol: V, Page: 318, District: Sevenoaks, Date: Jun qtr 1851
3 DATA
4 TEXT Index and certificate has name as 'Gurnett'
2 CAUS Dropsy, 3 months. Not certified.
2 AGE 32y
2 ASSO @I2225@
3 RELA informant
3 NOTE Present at the death

I realise that ASSO "should" only be used at level 1, but as PGV offers the level 2 option, with a NOTE as well, it should be displayed.

You could argue that PGV is correctly observing the GEDCOM specification that says that receiving applications should ignore unrecognised tags :-)

Yes - but this isn't coming from another application - this is PGV generated!

PGV provides the ability to add the NOTE, then doesn't display it. Either the ability to add the note should go, or it should display.
