When editing a previously completed census event record (CENS), the update window lists two fields marked as "Date". The first date field contains the previously recorded event date. The second date field is empty but appears to be for the same data. I think this second "Date" field should not be displayed.

    Event re-edit double date bug

This IS a bug and actually not answered in that topic. For certain facts, on edit, there are 2 fields lablled "date" IF there is no data entered in "date of entry in original source". Obviously one box should be labelled "date of entry in original source". This is not true for every fact. MARR seems not to be affected. BIRT, DEAT and CENS >are< affected.

In addition to the incorrect labelling the order of the fields appears to be randomized depending on which fields have data and which do not have data. For instance "address" is usually below the source fields if there is no data present. Both fields labelled "date" may be above the other source fields or one may be below.

Could be a browser issue? I use firefox. Screencap at http://www.stronski.org/deat.jpg showing the edit popup for DEAT. Notice the displacement of "cause of death", "place", "age" and "address" to a position below the source fields and the presence of 2 "date" fields.

Hope this helps to clear this up.
