#2341 User name with apostrophe not handled correctly

Tim 't Hart
No

My last name is "'t Hart", and as you can see it starts with an apostrophe. When I enter my last name in my phpgedview user account, the apostrophe gets escaped with a backslash. So my last name now becomes "\'t Hart". Every time I make a change to my user account, an extra backslash is added. So after a couple of changes, my name becomes "\\\\\'t Hart".

Since my full name is displayed in the footer of every page, it looks very ugly. The only way I can remove the backslahes is to use phpMyAdmin and directly remove them from the database field. When I do this, my name is displayed throughout the site correctly, so I think it is safe. When I go to my user settings again and save changes, the backslash gets added again.

I would like to note that the rest of phpgedview is handling my last name correctly. So the last names in my genealogy (luckily) do not show this problem. It is only in the user account options where this happens.

I believe I fixed this bug a few months ago. The fix will be included in the 4.1.6 release.
