when trying to change any portal (user's or gedcom's):
a)when I choose a block from the list, the text should
change to the block's explanation (that's what I guess
after making the translation of block's explanations
which never appear) but it doesn't
b)clicking add has no visible effect - when clicking
"save" the block seems not to be added but instead the
block's lists gets empty (though with no effect to the
portal).
c) when marking an item and clicking the "move up"
button there is no visible effect, but after clicking
save only the marked item is still in the block's list
- all other have disappeared from the list and from the
portal (after reloading)

    d) By the way - how can I repair my blocks ??? If you've
removed the welcome block it seems you can't reach the
"modify the portal-page" anymore. It should be added
somewhere else (configuration menu?) or should be impossible
to remove THIS block. Also an "reset portal" would be helpfull.
Also this is more an RFE i post it here, as there still is
some work to be done on this and perhaps it can immediately
    be included ?
    Regards
    Peter

Most of these issues have been fixed in the beta 2 release
code. Tested with Mozilla, should work in NS too.

In index mode it is easy to repaire your blocks, just delete
    the index/blocks.dat file.

I will add a button to reset to the default blocks.

I will also think about what to do if the welcome block is
    removed.

I don't mind if you put RFEs about new features introduced in
the betas because we can often easily add them to the next
release before the final. That is part of what the beta
    program is for.

yes it works in NS 7.1 - only still missing the button to
    reset to the default blocks.

    thanks

I've added the reset button to the CVS.
