I've installed cvs version from http://perso.mines-albi.fr/~gaborit/latex/tikz-pgf.html and when compiling a beamer document like

%---------------------------------------------
\documentclass{beamer}

%\setbeamertemplate{sections/subsections in toc}[circle]
\setbeamertemplate{sections/subsections in toc}[ball]
%\setbeamertemplate{sections/subsections in toc}[square]

\listfiles
\begin{document}

\begin{frame}{Outline}
\tableofcontents
\end{frame}

\section{First section}
\begin{frame}{A}
\end{frame}

\subsection{First subsection}
\begin{frame}{B}
\end{frame}

\end{document}
%-----------------------------------------------------

it stops with message:

(C:\ExperimentsLatex\Testl-2.toc
! Undefined control sequence.
\pgf@after@text ...oximatenonlineartransformation
\pgf@process {\pgfpointtra...
l.2 ...er@sectionintoc {1}{First section}{2}{0}{1}

Same happens with [circle] option. It works with [square].
With pgf 2.10 everything works. I attach previos example and a complete .log file.

    Hi,

    you seem to have an "old" CVS version, namely one with the latest fixes not applied. In particular, your problem stems from the fact that according to your log you use revision 1.16 of generic/pgf/basiclayer/pgfcoretransformations.code.tex, while revision 1.17 is the current one (from October 10th). That revision fixes this problem.

    Cheers,
    Till
