I have a form built with QtDesigner containing a QTextEdit box with the text attribute populated with the GPL.

Converting the .ui to perl code with puic gives the following (extract only):

    TextEdit1 = Qt::TextEdit(GroupBox2, "TextEdit1");
TextEdit1->setText(trUtf8("This program is distributed under the terms of the GPL v2.\n"
    "\n"
    "       GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE\n"
    "          Version 2, June 1991\n"

    etc.

So, looks like we're missing the dot operator to concatenate the individual strings.

Thanks to all the developers for getting PerlQt3 out the door - do you guys have any recommendations for good Qt programming books?

    Cheers,
    Rich

Ok thanks, I'll fix this asap.
Please file in a bug report next time - it really helps tracking things.

As for Qt printed books, there are some, such as O'Reilly's or SAM's, but I think they all lack an update to 3.0...
You'd better read the excellent Qt documentation itself
(tip: use the "assistant" program in your QTDIR/bin directory)

      Cheers,
      G.

Thanks for the reply - there's sooooo much to read in the Qt docs!

Sorry for not using the bug report - kind of new to Sourceforge :)

      Cheers,
      Rich
