My team has developed a systemtap-based ITrace package that pulls in parts of the Performance Inspector ITrace code. When I recently tried to build and run this package on a RHEL 6 beta installation, I ran into three problems. Two of these problems occur only because the ITrace code in my package is compiled into a kernel module by systemtap, and the other problem occurs in both the systemtap build and the native PI build. I will send a series of three patch postings to address these issues. Each patch in the series is completely independent of the others from a logical perspective. However, the src/driver/pi_btrace.c file has two patches applied to it. So to avoid offset lines when applying the patches, apply the pi-framesize.patch first.
