==============================================================
Another fantastic reason to look forward to your Pentaho News! Each week, we will highlight a new technical article that addresses some of the more complex (or perplexing :) tasks in the Pentaho projects. This week, thanks to Lee Mewshaw, we've outlined step-by-step how to design and publish reports with MySQL and JNDI. Check out the article at http://www.pentaho.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=135&Itemid=276.

Introducing Just a Few of Pentaho's Exceptional Community Members...
==============================================================
Each week we will be picking a couple of Pentaho's community contributors to highlight in our technical news, as a way to introduce the community to the people who have Pentaho know-how and to give them the sincere thanks they deserve.
This week, I'd like to introduce Lee Mewshaw of SimpliCTI Software Solutions in Cary, North Carolina, USA. Lee is responsible for this week's technical article, which he crafted and sent to us with the idea to seed a wiki with the info. We are happy to say we are working toward Lee's vision!
I also would like to introduce Bart Maertens, one of our first and most consistent contributors. Bart submitted the first localization of the Pentaho BI Platform in his home language, Dutch. Bart is also interested in software usability, and has offered to apply his usability skills to improve the Pentaho projects.
Want to get your kudos here? Don't just ask questions in the forums, take the plunge and help out your fellow Pentaho tribesmen! There is a wealth of great technical information in the forums; the more involved our community is, the better our forums will be. I'll see you there!

Pentaho Changes Platform License to Mozilla Public License, Version 1.1
==============================================================
As of our 1.1.5 Milestone release of the Pentaho BI Suite, we have officially switched our licensing from the Pentaho Public License to the Mozilla Public License, version 1.1. The decision to change the licensing was driven by input from the development community along with our strong belief in being true open source contributors.
You can post feedback about the change in our general discussion forum at http://www.pentaho.org/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=275&func=showcat&catid=41.
