business intelligence, announces the availability of new milestone builds of
its BI Workbench and Platform. The improvements in the products underscore
Pentaho's commitment to easy to use, solution-based business intelligence.
Pentaho Platform 1.1 Milestone 1
This stable build of the platform contains new features, new samples, bug
fixes, documentation updates, and library upgrades. Moreover, the build
provides a preview of the features of the upcoming Reporting Server. These
features include
- an upgrade from JBoss Application Server 4.0.2 to JBoss AS 4.0.3 SP1
- an upgrade from JBoss Portal 2.0 to JBoss Portal 2.2
- an upgrade from JFreeReport 0.8.4 to JFreeReport 0.8.6
- administration improvements
- an upgrade from Mondrian 2.0 to Mondrian 2.0.1
- an upgrade from JPivot 1.4 to JPivot 1.5
- updates to the French translation
- new Spanish and Italian translations
BI Workbench Stable Build 0.9.1
This build of the Pentaho BI Workbench includes usability improvements through
a major redesign of the user interface to ease the creation of Action Sequence
documents. Additionally, the build includes
- a new flowchart display view to better illustrate component relationships
- improved validation
- the ability to drag and drop to configure inputs
- custom editors for all components that automatically generate inputs and
allow drag and drop
