Release 4.8.1 comes with more consistent design, reduced duplication and better discoverability of functionalities, and better focus on relevant information.
Sharing and communication features are improved, with Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive, and Ubuntu One sync folders automatically detected and listed for navigation, extraction and compression, and better mail integration with "Zip and mail" entry in context menu and "Send by mail" option in archive creation UI.
New features includes a new tool bar for batch management of graphic files (rotate, crop, resize, convert), and a new sidebar listing main program's functions sorted alphabetically.
If a compression or extraction task is minimized, following jobs in the batch now inherits the minimized status for not stealing user focus.
Files being previewed within archives are now set read only in order to raise "save as" prompt if modified.
Windows installer, and System integration wizard, now features a new "No system integration" option for installing/configuring no file association and no menu entry.
A total of 171 file extensions are supported.
