I try to compile pdftohtml on my MAc, but when I make install, I have this error :
mkdir -p /usr/local/bin
/usr/bin/install -c xpdf/pdftops /usr/local/bin/pdftops
install: xpdf/pdftops: No such file or directory
make: *** [install] Error 71
pdftohtml is in my src directory, but it don't have the option -c, what is the probleme ?
I have this option on my Linux server, but don't in my Mac OS X Notebook...
If you can't compile pdftohtml you can download OS X PDFtoHTML of Christian Hornung. It is a GUI and it doesn't seem to work very well, but it comes with the pdftohtml already compiled under the pdftohtml-0.39/src folder.
I copied the file to the usr/bin folder to run it from terminal anytime.
I don't know if this helps, but you can copy the binary from the source directory to the target:
Theoden:src thompson$ sudo cp pdftohtml /usr/local/bin
Yes, it's inelegant, but it works. Now I'm off to test my fresh binary. :) It looks like the Makefile could use a bit of tweaking, at least for an OS X install. The compile is clean, but the install is not working.
The Application pdftohtml is only PowerPC.
UPDATE: brew install pdftohtml
