I have written a new input plugin which uses SDL for joystick handling. It also implements PADpoll() interface, which fixes the problem with non-Analog games when Analog Pad is enabled.
I also recreated the configuration utility to get rid of the "funny" symbols in the original padJoy.

It still needs more testing though.
I think it is worth renaming to avoid any conflicts with the existing dfinput plugin (which is presumably non-analog as well, based on other forum reports).
If I get some time, I will check it out.
