Problem with Mandrake 10.1 (also SuSe 9.1)

    I suffer from the "system-lock-up-when-wlan-card-inserted"-problem. I tried all solutions mentioned, but cant get it solved, here follows some info I managed to get:

      The only thing I can possibly think to try is to pass boot options to the kernel on loading like noauto, noapic, nolapic, and/or noacpi, though I have Mdk 10.1, and I vaguely remember that one not accepting some of those.  Good luck, HTH?

      These messages are not useful; they come from sending a signal to or restarting cardmgr, maybe??

      The boot messages from the kernel PCMCIA modules and cardmgr might be helpful.  As would a description of the system.  You might also mention specifically what card you're trying to use, and whether you're using any other cards.
