A very handy key-mouse shortcut in Firefox is the
CTRL-LeftClick to open a link in a new tab. To have
this in PCMan would be great (to open a folder this way
in a new tab).

Unfortunately at the moment you will loose your current
view in the tab if you right-click on a folder to
select 'Open in new tab' (this folder will replace the
existing one which is not really wanted). Better would
be to keep the current folder view and by
right-clicking on a folder have this one open in a new
tab - or, as I suggested the CTRL-leftClick.

Great work. Your philosophy to keep it simple (and
fast) is very much appreciated.

    Hey!
    Here is a little trick.
You can open a folder in new tab with middle button.
    Cheers!

ctrl+leftclick is already used for selecting and deselecting files/folders in most file managers and should stay that way.

i think what you mean is that you want an extra way for opening in new tabs but not focus to them .this would be nice ,but needs another key combination then the one you gave.

  • The 'Open in new tab' was fixed some long time ago and single-click is working the same way as in Firefox too - i.e. by middle-click.
    Thank you.
