Maybe the sidepanel shortcut to the home folder could be replaced by one for the filesystem (/ folder) since there's already the home folder button in the toolbar.

Also the Applications sidepanel shortcut only works with LXDE? I don't know where it looks for to be enabled but PCManFM could maybe check if that underlying requisite is present or not and if it isn't then not show the Applications shortcut.

Regards.

Discussion

  • Well I finally figured why the Applications shortcut wasn't working outside LXDE. I had compiled menu-cache but left libmenu-cache1 from Debian (its equivalent). So I purged libmenu-cache1 and lxmenu-data and compiled lxmenu-data from source.

  • This issue should be handled in 1.2.0-beta0 version of libfm using new configuration options. Test it, please, when it's possible for you. Note that you should recompile pcmanfm as well to use new version of libfm.
    Thank you very much.
